"Food for Thought" came as vision to feed the poor and the needy; the school children; orphaned, the less fortunate members of the society; young and old alike; to give nourishment physically and spiritual enlightenment. Over 25,000 have already benefited from the feeding program as of today, since it launching. those who share in this program as donors and sponsors were called upon by the almighty God to share their blessings. it is God's grace that those who benefited by this shall be blessed and touch by God's hand to respond to HIS calling.
FOOD-FOR-THOUGHT MINISTRY
FEEDING PROGRAM
In November 27, 2005, the Feeding Program, was formally launched at the old V.M.G. building, National hi-way, Santiago City. then, it included public schools, after 3 years, in December 18, 2008. it opened its doors to Street children, Northeastern College as venue, coordinated by Sister Rose Bastian, wife of ptr. James Bastian. Regular feeding at the Emergency hospital is every Wednesday, public schools are scheduled on weekdays. Malnourished children feeding on a daily basis at the Naggasican elementary School was started two(2) years ago with excellent results, we planned to adopt the feeding program for the malnourished in other areas when funds are sufficient to cover this, with supplemental milk feeding.
Street Pastors program last December 22, 2008 paved the way for feeding street children, drivers, vendors, sales ladies and stall owners at the public market. and this year, 2009- this activity is scheduled every Mondays of the month.
We hope to achieve at least 50,000 children as beneficiaries of the Feeding Program this year -2009. our support to Power House Kids Club has clipped a record high of more than 10,000 kids reached out in the year 2008, as we go hand in hand in schools, doing Power House Kids presentation followed by feeding in every schools. We pray for more donors and sponsors to be able to achieve 20,000 kids for the year 2009.
Hallelujah !! TO GOD BE THE GLORY !!!
